Growing a baby is such an exciting time in your lives and I am so excited that you are considering having me as your photographer to document this wonderful journey into parenthood.

Welcoming a new baby is one of life’s most precious moments — and capturing those early days is something I truly love. My approach is natural, timeless, and gentle, using soft light, earthy tones, and simple textures to create images that feel as meaningful years from now as they do today.
Each session includes a mix of relaxed portraits and detailed close-ups — from tiny toes to sleepy expressions. More than just how your baby looks, I aim to capture the feeling of these first days: the love, the tenderness, and the quiet magic of new beginnings.
Studio or In-Home
Newborn sessions are held in my calm and light-filled studio, tucked away in the quiet area of Ashwood Park, Taupō. It’s a peaceful, intentionally designed space with an earthy-meets-luxe vibe — a little haven from the world outside.
Prefer to stay home? I also offer unposed, lifestyle newborn sessions from the comfort of your own home — perfect for a more documentary-style feel. I’ll bring a few simple items and let your everyday moments unfold naturally. This can be added for a small additional fee.
A Calm and Supportive Experience
With over 15 years of experience (and as a mother myself), I understand the nerves, the chaos, and the deep love that comes with this stage of life. Whether you’re venturing out for the first time or juggling siblings and sleep deprivation — I’m here to guide you gently through the process.
During your session, there’s no pressure. I’ll offer subtle direction to help you feel comfortable, but mostly, you just need to show up and enjoy being with the people you love most.

Depending on the session you are wanting, but for the following sessions I suggest…
Your pregnancy journey I would book in your maternity session with me once you are in your 2nd trimester.
For Newborn sessions if you book in around your 3rd trimester
Family sessions I do tend to book more weekends so they do tend to book quickly as i’m also a wedding photographer, I do book up around 3 months in advance so better to be early than late in booking in!

If you have opted for an outdoors session with me, a few spits - light drizzle are ok but anything heavier will mean rescheduling your session. I always keep my eye on the weather app and generally will know the day before if we have to reschedule.

My turnaround time is 4 weeks from the date of your session, from here you will receive an email link to view your full gallery. Make your selections to finalise your order or order more if you wish.

Depending on your session, if your in the studio I shoot Monday-Friday with times made to suit around your toddlers naps or morning routines. Ideally I like to begin sessions around 10.30 am.
For outdoor sessions i’m a lover of that golden glow or beautiful; dreamy soft light, to achieve this look I shoot an hour or so before sunset depending on the location.

Your newborn session will run anywhere between 1-3 hours, this is dependent on how settled your baby is.
